Installing MAMP

Download the MAMP  package from http://www.mamp.info/en/download.html
scroll down the page and choose the "MAMP & MAMP Pro" package.

Double click on the Mamp*.dmg icon to start the installer.

The license agreement will pop-up.
Click on the Agree button to install.

Now Drag the MAMP folder on top of the Applications folder.
This will install the MAMP server to your Apple Applications folder on your hard drive.

You can see the files being copied to the Applications folder this may take a few minutes depending on your systems speed.
There is another folder called MAMP Pro now this is a control panel that gives you more configuration features and has a trial
run for 14 days but its a commercial product by the developer of the MAMP distro.

That being said you don't need to install it.
MAMP will work with it or without it. To get you going as fast as possible I'm not going to cover MAMP Pro but if you like to support
The developer of this project think about purchasing the Pro panel.

Once the installer has finished. A file window should pop up.
Look for the MAMP folder and click it to go inside.

Now look for the MAMP grey icon and select it.
Once selected lets make an Alias short cut to our desktop.

Click the Apple key on your keyboard and then click on the MAMP grey icon to bring up the menu.
Select "Make Alias" to make an Alias.

Now the Alias short cut was made.
Lets take the Alias short cut and put it on the desktop.
